Bob Jeffries is a highly experienced lawyer with more than 25 years in active practice. He takes a down-to-earth and practical approach to meeting his client’s needs. He explains the law and legal procedures in plain English. He is a graduate of Dickinson College and the Georgetown University Law Center where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. During law school and following his graduation, he spent five years representing criminal defendants in Washington, D.C.
He moved to Los Angeles and spent the next ten years representing individuals and corporate clients in a variety of business litigation matters. Among them was a highly complex effort to recover pension savings lost in a large Ponzi scheme by companies who were the victims. The litigation for that effort included class actions in state and federal court which recovered millions of dollars for the affected pension funds.
Since 1998, he has devoted his practice to Virginia Family Law and has represented clients in the Juvenile and Circuit Courts of the Hampton Roads cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, and Hampton.
He has appeared as a family law expert on the WHRO talk show “Hearsay” and has been a guest blogger on the Huffington Post.
He speaks Spanish and Russian fluently.
